CALA GALDANA AND THE SURROUNDINGS

CALA GALDANA

Cala Caldana is a short drive to Ciutadella and Mahon airport.
A sports haven where athletic visitors can enjoy nature sports, snorkeling , kayaking and all water sports.Its horse trail “cami de cavalls” and its extraordinary cycle paths, which are equally suitable for amateurs and the more experienced cyclists, are also particularly well known.

Families with children are drawn by the sandy white beaches whilst couples find it an attractive, romantic destination, so in short, there is something for everyone !

Famed for its super fine white sand and lush vegetation, the shaped sheltered bay is also renowned for safe swimming.In addition to typical beach facilities : sunbeds, parasols, deckchairs , showers, snack bars , life guards and constant surveillance are also provided.

PLAYAS VIRGENES

Cala Macarella and Macarelleta, Cala Turqueta, Mitjana Beach and Mitjaneta are amongst the most sought after smaller beaches and bays dotted all around Cala Galdana.

And they are all reacheable just walking from your apartment, no nuisance of the car and car park.

By car / bus

To reach Encanto del Mar Apartments it takes about 40 minutes from Mahon airport (35 km) and about 20 minutes from Ciutadella (25 km).

BY CAR

From Mahon airport take the main road to Ciutadella.
After arriving in Ferreries at the roundabout follow the sign towards Cala Galdana.

Once you reach Cala Galdana, arrive till the end of the entrance road, overtake a bridge and turn immediately left at the roundabout.
Then follow the road till up the hill then go down towards the center for about 1 kms. About the end of Carrer Ladera a big ramp at right side leads to Encanto stairs.
